The Sage Institute is a sponsor of musician Robby Romero’s launch of Project Protect Awareness Campaign’s Educational Initiative Tour, on Thursday March 28, 2013, from 7pm – 9pm at The Harwood Museum of Art in Taos.

We invite you to join us, although seating is limited and it’s best to purchase tickets in advance from The Harwood Museum: $10 admission, or see concessions below.

During this extra-special evening program in honor of Mother Earth, Robby Romero will screen his music picture Who’s Gonna Save You, giving an indigenous perspective on global climate change. Romero will also perform his new single All Our Colors with special guest artist Robert Mirabal.

A panel discussion by Taos eco-entrepreneurs and visionaries features:

  • Michael Reynolds, eco-architect, best-known for his Taos Earthships
  • Brad Hockmeyer, founder, KTAOS Solar Radio
  • Jonathan Warm Day Coming, Taos Pueblo artist and author
  • Mark Goldman, Chairman of the UNM-Taos Green Tech Program
  • Angelo McHorse and Hillery Duran of the Taos Pueblo Red Willow Farm
  • Moderators: Irene Bedard, Native Children’s Survival board member & actress, and Dora E. McQuaid, activist, poet, and Sage Institute board member.

Copies will be available of the the United Nation’s Declaration on The Rights of Indigenous Peoples, and the Universal Declaration on The Rights of Mother Earth.

Seats are limited and we recommend purchasing tickets in advance at the Harwood Museum. Admission is $10, or $8 for Harwood Alliance members. Admission is free to Taos County K-12 and UNM-Taos students and faculty with ID.

Romero is currently touring national schools to spread the word on climate change.  He will also speak at the 12th Session of the United Nations Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues.

Romero’s Taos event is a collaboration between Native Children’s Survival, The Sage Institute for Creativity, Consciousness & Environment, The Harwood Museum Of Art, University of New Mexico – Taos, and KTAOS Solar Radio.
