Sage Institute and Golden Willow Retreat will host a workshop on Emotional Healing at the Golden Willow Retreat Center.

Rev. Ted Wiard, MA, LPCC, CGC is the co-founder and director of Golden Willow Retreat, an emotional healing sanctuary focused on grief and loss. Ted is a licensed clinical therapist, certified grief counselor, an ordained minister, a New Mexico certified schoolteacher, and a certified tennis teaching professional. Ted’s passion for working with grief, loss, and resiliency arose from his own personal losses in which he realized there are very few places to go for support and healing from loss.

Mirabai Starr is the author of critically acclaimed new translations of the Spanish mystics, and reflections on the unifying teachings at the heart of all spiritual paths. Mirabai has been an adjunct professor of Philosophy and World Religions at the University of New Mexico-Taos since 1993. Her emphasis is on making connections between the perennial teachings found at the heart of all the world’s spiritual paths, in an effort to promote peace and justice.

Dr. Joanne Cacciatore is the founder of the MISS Foundation and she is currently a professor at Arizona State University. Her area of expertise is traumatic death, specifically child death, and she is an acclaimed public speaker on this topic.
